Sped Spark is committed to delivering high-quality, live virtual special education services. We deliver effective, culturally responsive, and differentiated specialized instruction to meet the needs of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) . In addition, we offer other educational programs that empower the entire school community including students, parents, and educators.

Specially Designed Instruction

Sped Spark is committed to delivering high-quality and equitable specially designed instruction in 3 delivery models (Resource Room, Dedicated Co- Teaching, Hybrid (In Person 2days/ Virtual 3 days)

We take responsibility and care for the complete case management for each student. This includes specially designed instruction, writing IEP goals, attending IEP meetings, and communicating with students’ onsite teacher(s), pupil service professionals and parents.* Our team also attends your staff meetings virtually (2x month max) to make sure we are aligned with your policies, practices, and procedures.

Sped Spark has designed this dynamic and secure virtual space to deliver Inclusive and One to One Learning while student is still in the classroom. Our aim for student learning is within the least restrictive environment (LRE). If student does need private area, it is understood, at their request. Our effective culturally responsive teaching and learning is transformational. Our differentiated specialized instruction will meet and/or exceed the needs for students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans.

Sped Spark uses strategic virtual learning approaches and aims to develop student critical thinking. We use the exact same lesson plan(s) / subject(s) sent from the classroom teacher in formula with multple differentiation and scaffolding methods. This specialized instruction will help provide a Free and Appropriate Public Education for each student. Formative and Summative assessment(s) are implemented and recorded for academic progress reports, artifacts and student cumulative records. Standard Post Transitional Planning (PTP) provided by case manager/ special education teacher to help student(s) create the confidence and capacity to transition and thrive in the real world with college, career and community readiness.

VIRTUAL CURRICULUM: Same Assignment (s) as In-Classroom Teacher. Includes Specialized Instruction within Differentiation/Scaffolding/ Chunking and other Supplementary Aides and services w/ (Related Services* )

VIRTUAL ASSESSMENTS: Woodcock-Johnson IV, RIAS-2, Bateria IV, WISC-V and other formal diagnostic assessments.

Sped Spark has desighned this virtual space to deliver effective culturally responsive and differentiated specialized instruction to meet the needs of students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans.

Sped Spark will use strategic virtual learning approaches and aims to develop new critical thinkers. We use the exact same lesson plan(s) sent from the in-classroom teacher along with multple differentiation and scaffolding methods. This specialized instruction will create successful formative and summative assessment(s) that meet and/or exceed IEP goals and state standards.

*INCLUDES ANNUAL MEETING OF IEP /504 PLAN.

1 hour max per session. Each session is based on IEP /504 Plan: RELATED SERVICES SECTION, per student.

Tutoring Academy 6th-12th

Sped Spark provides a diverse and dedicated staff of tutors to help students with all of their general academic needs.

Sped Spark has designed this virtual space to deliver effective tutoring to students that need extra guidance to understand subject content and thrive in their classwork and/or homework. Our tutors strategically use the funds of knowledge that students already hold to build student knowledge and confidence in the subject. This is just one the many tutoring techniques that is used to deliver the needed support for students.

Sped Spark will use strategic teaching and learning approaches of differentiation and scaffolding methods in all sessions.

FOR STUDENTS UNDER THE AGE OF 16, PARENT(S) ARE REQUIRED TO MEET TUTOR FOR THE FIRST SESSION. PARENT(S) are always welcomed during the instruction.

TUTORING AVAILABILITY:

7 Days a week. S-M-T-W-T-F-S

EVERY PARENT. EVERY CHILD. (EPEC)

Parent Engagement and Support Session(s)

Sped Spark is committed to empowering families with the necessary parent skills and strategies to support their child(ren) at school and home.

Sped Spark has designed Every Parent. Every Child (EPEC) , a parent engagement and support program, for parent(s) to learn and grow within your school culture and gain sustaining parent skills. We have designed a strategic framework and dialogue for parents teaching them how to listen, communicate, and create high expectations for thier child(ren) and themselves.

In addition, our Sped Spark family engagement specialists perform a five point needs assessment(s) to better identify a family needs. This needs assessment gathers a family’s need for food, shelter, clothing, transporation and employment. We align these needs to local community audit(s), and resource resolutions for parent(s) and families.

Our EPEC program provides continous support for parents and families throughout the enrollment period. School leaders have strategically benefited from EPEC program to demostrate that their school leadership success includes the focus of family empowerment.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES/ REPORTS;

Sped Spark provides MONTHLY parent attendance and summary feedback to school administration for your review/ records. Sped Spark also provides other analytic data to school administration for various continous improvement measures and decision making.
